Baruch College S-STEM Scholarships: Empowering Your Future in Mathematics
The Mathematics Department at Baruch College is excited to announce the Baruch College S-STEM Scholarships, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) S-STEM grant 2325822. This program is specially designed to support students pursuing bachelor's degrees in Mathematics at Baruch College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY). Our mission is to diversify the STEM workforce and provide a transformative educational experience for our mathematics scholars.
The Scholarships will be very competitive. Four scholarships will be awarded in 2024. In addition to the scholarship amount, the support and mentorship provided will be a great value for participants.
Scholarship Benefits:

Generous Financial Support: Scholars will receive up to $15,000 per year for four years, aimed at reducing financial barriers to higher education.

Comprehensive Mentorship: Through our cascade mentoring program, students will receive support from faculty and peers throughout their academic journey, fostering a strong community and network.

Professional Development: Engage in social and cohort-building activities, along with career and research preparation in one of the world’s cultural hubs.

Eligibility Criteria (if your received an email invitation to apply, criteria marked with * has already been checked for you):

First year students enrolled at Baruch College intending to major in Mathematics or Financial Mathematics at Baruch College. You must declare Mathematics or Financial Mathematics as your intended major.

* Eligible to receive a Pell Grant.

* U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

* High school GPA of at least 3.0.

Must maintain a 3.0 GPA at Baruch College for continued support.

Must be admitted to the Mathematics major or Financial Mathematics major by Fall 2026.
